“Rare children’s stories that don’t shy away from the realities of a changing world, yet leave kids feeling lighter, more resilient, and inspired."

Book#1 - I CAN HEAR YOUR HEART BEEP

Steve, a Fishtachio ice cream-loving polar bear, pairs up with a feisty electric car named Eve to save the planet in I Can Hear Your Heart Beep, the first book in the Steve and Eve graphic novel series. The dynamic duo will delight young readers with their zany adventures in this stunningly illustrated, uplifting graphic novel as they spread the superpower of kindness gifted to them by the Northern Lights. While striving to alleviate climate change, Steve and Eve are accompanied by a lively cast of Arctic characters and hilariously trailed by Burger the Booger, who attempts to make a snotty mess of our planet heroes.

“As I was reading this book (I Can Hear Your Heart Beep), I felt a lot of shine coming into my body because it has a lot of kindness, teamwork and hope in it.”

— Maya from Toronto (age 7)

Book#2 - BE A MARSHMALLOW

Quirky polar bear cousin Quilo leads Steve and Eve as they explore energy solutions in Norway in Be a Marshmallow. Called to California to help a gruff grizzly bear and a rhyming purple goldfish displaced by drought, our trio blasts off for new adventure. A cast of lovable electric vehicles, including Hippie the school bus, assists our heroes as they encounter environmental challenges and gooey Burger the Booger. With help from wise Mother Trees, kids, parents, and even pets, the team discovers that healing the planet takes both kindness and collective action. In a glowing finale, Steve is reminded of his mother's wise words: "Be a Marshmallow" — let the tough stuff bounce off you, stay sweet and kind, and help fix the planet.

“Steve and Eve was a very good book. When they went to California to save the world that was nice and cool!”

— Sam from Vancouver (age 8)

We need them to feel hopeful and empowered about their futures so they will grow into conscientious adults, capable of facing climate challenges with resilience and compassionate collaboration.”
